Panasonic launches its new model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced in the US on the 11/1/02. The Lumix DMC-LC40 delivers a maximum resolution of 2240 x 1680. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1120 x 840, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 is 4:3, for a total of 3.9 mega pixels.

The sensor on the Lumix DMC-LC40 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter.
