It was announced in North America on the 08/2/05. This model measures 94 x 63 x 31 mm and is weighting only 188 g. The Lumix DMC-LS1 offers a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS1 is 4:3, making a total of 4.0 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the Lumix DMC-LS1 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Panasonic added a digital zoom on its Lumix DMC-LS1 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Lumix DMC-LS1 was set at 8 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version being a very useful function.
